Update:
Hi, we are William and Gisela Pflug from Spaichingen, Germany.
Me, Gisela, visited Gaza during my studies as a teacher in 2003 and I visited several schools there. I was living with family Abu Elkomboz, who helped me so much.
We met at Karlsruhe, where we lived in the same student hall of residence for a few years and became good friends.
My husband William and I want to help our friends leave Gaza to live in a safer place in Egypt.
Greetings,
I'm Zayed, a Palestinian engineer from Gaza, married and a father of six.
My story began on October 7th when my family and I were displaced from our neighborhood due to its complete destruction amid the Gaza occupation.
Prior to this, we lived in peace and hope but now everything has changed. The occupation threat became a reality, shattering our happiness, aspirations and dreams.
My home, where I invested over 14 years of effort, was severly damaged in an Israeli attack. Now, my children ask "What will we do?" "Where will we go?" Their faces reflect the saddness that engulfs us daily. As a father in wartime, shielding my children from surrounding horrors is a constant battle.
The war robbed us of lives and dreams, affecting everyone profoundly.
My oldest daughter, Aya, a fourth year medical student at Al-Azhar University, anticipated October to commence her practical training after three years of theoretical learning.
This is Aya's photo at the semiseniors graduation party:
However, her excitment waned swiftly when some of her esteemed doctors were killed. With erratuic electricity, studying on her laptop became a challenge. Even post-war, Gaza's dire health situation, exacerbated ba a lack of medical aid and the destruction of Al-Shifa Hospital, looms large.
Likewise, my oldest son Adham, studying engineering, faced the destruction of his university dreams.
Pre-war, he aimed to accelerate his studies and harbored ambitions of owing a business.
My other children - Amjad, Esraa, Adam and Aseel - saw their schools attacked, depriving them of their right to education. Their growth and passions have been stunted by these adversities.
The overwhelming fear, triggered by rockets and sleepless nights, drives us to survive on canned food and polluted water. Daily life struggles intensify with scare water for showers and cooking, impacting our health negatively.
Leaving Gaza is our heartfelt desire, but it seems impossible without urgent help. Your support will not only ensure our survival but also enable my children to fulfill their educational aspirations and dreams.
I seek 7000€ per family member to leave Gaza and come to Egypt including transportation and papers. Then we need about 20000€ to live in Egypt for the first year.
Your contribution can make our dreams a reality.
