Help Zayn Fight Leukemia
My name is Anthony Ochoa and my two and half year old son Zayn Anthony Ochoa was recently diagnosed with ALL (Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia) Type B. He began his chemotherapy on Tuesday August 3rd at DHR in Edinburgh.
Our entire family is heartbroken and still in shock with this devastating news. It all began the week of July 27th when Zayn woke up in the middle of the night with a high fever and a crippling pain in his legs. The next week for Zayn consisted of a trip to the ER, two doctor visits, not eating or drinking, and being bedridden due to the pain. It was finally realized after being admitted to Valley Baptist in Harlingen that something was not right with his blood cell counts. That same night we were sent to Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburgh to be seen by the Pediatric Oncology doctor and was then diagnosed after a spinal tap and bone marrow aspiration procedure.
Despite the situation, our entire family has gathered together in prayer and support for Zayn. My deep flaws quickly run to question “why” but then I remember this is all part of god’s plan. God will heal Zayn and provide him strength throughout his journey. As he will do for all of our family. Zayn, Dreyden(Brother), Chelsea(Sister), Janie(Mother), Zayn’s grandparents, Tios, Tias, Cousins, and all of his family, and myself thank anyone that will help us fight this fight. Whether it be prayers, encouragement, support, spreading awareness of childhood cancer, spreading awareness of childhood leukemia, or anything, we are all so thankful for everyone. From the bottom of our hearts thank you all!
