Help Zeke beat leukemia. #Zekestrong

Hello, My name is Hollie Ramsey. My husband Nathan and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy, Zeke into this world in January of this year. We were beyond excited and in love upon his arrival. Getting pregnant proved to be a challenge in the beginning but we were coming up on a year and it finally happened and we were ecstatic. We were over the moon to have the opportunity to love, spoil, and watch our boy grow. What we didn't count on was our little man being born sick. Zeke was taken to the NICU the second day of life where we found a multitude of issues with his platelets being abnormally low which in turn required a platelet transfusion, his white blood cell count was very high, along various other things that let the doctors know something was wrong. Zeke has been in/out of appointments as well as admitted to the hospital for various tests and procedures to find out what was going on. After weeks of not knowing what was wrong we were told our precious little boy had an extremely rare from of leukemia called JMML(Juvenile Myelomonocytic Leukemia). To say we were devastated is and understatement. We can not put into words what it is like to be told our brand new baby has cancer. All we knew at this point was our little guy is a fighter and we were going to attack this as a family. He was born to beat this diagnosis. Zeke has started his chemotherapy treatments to help maintain his platelet and white blood cell count at a normal level. These treatments are every 28 days for 5 days straight and he just finished his 7th round. Unfortunately we have gotten as much mileage out of his current chemo. Which is no longer working for him and will be starting new treatments in December. This has been used to allow him to get a little older and stronger to be able to receive a bone marrow transplant in the future. At that point he will need to be hospitalized for 45 days straight with 100 days of follow-up visits to follow. Per his Doctors Zeke can not attend a regular daycare due to his immune system being compromised. With the COVID-19 pandemic also increasing his risk of infection. We want to provide the very best treatment and care for our son, but this comes at a tremendous cost financially. I will no longer be working Full-time due to his needs and the high risk environment that which I work. This cuts our finances in half but allows me to be home with our son. We humbly ask, for your support financially to assist with medical and financial needs for Zeke. Your donations will afford us the capability to offer the best care and treatments as well as the opportunity for one of us to stay home and focus 100% of our time caring for his every need. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR ANYTHING YOU DONATE. WE CANNOT BE MORE GRATEFUL! Please keep all the prayers coming for our little guy.
