Help Zena, the Pocket Pittie, Battle Leptospirosis and Kidney Failure

Hello friends, family, and kindhearted strangers, my name is Natalie Madsen.

Me and my boyfriend’s beloved pocket pittie, Zena, is a true warrior. She's been fighting an incredibly tough battle against leptospirosis and kidney failure, and every day she shows us her unbreakable spirit and love for life.

Zena has always been more than just a dog to us-she's family. With her boundless energy, her snuggly cuddles, and adorable head tilts, she's brought immense joy to everyone she meets. She’s always the best part of my day, so excited and full of love and always right behind you wherever you go. 

But now, Zena needs help.

Leptospirosis has severely impacted her kidneys, leaving her in need of overnight intensive care, medications, and specialized treatments. Her medical bills have been piling up, and while we're doing everything we can, it's become overwhelming.

We’ve gotten promising news of the Leptospirosis being cleared via antibiotics and her urinalysis is coming back better! Now we just need her bloodwork to get back to normal! She is still at the Animal Hospital in overnight care, getting fluids through an IV multiple times a day and night intermittently.
