Help Zoë Continue Teaching Young Artists

Donation protected
My name is Zoë, I’m an educator for the youth who received a BFA in painting and went on to teach art full time to students K-8. I’ve been teaching full time for 2 years now. After graduating I was required to return to school to complete coursework to get proper licensure to teach. I did this alongside teaching full time my first year. After, I was granted my 2 years Alternative Resident Educator License in Visual Arts.
In compliance with the State Board the next step to maintain my professional license and teaching position is to advance to the 5 year professional license. This requires me to complete additional schooling. Both a Professional Development Institute requiring 150 hours and a Phonics course.
These courses are necessary but expensive, they require $2400 for the PDI and $630 for the Phonics.
I love my current position but with my current salary this out of pocket is unattainable alone. The combined costs are well beyond my monthly paycheck.
I hope you see the value in allowing me to continue my education position for both myself and the hundreds of kids I teach and can help support the next step in my educator journey.
