Help Zuko the Mini GoldenDoodle through this tough time

We are reaching out today with a heavy heart to share the story of a sweet little dog named Zuko and his incredibly devoted dad, Eric. Zuko is a 4-year-old Mini Golden Doodle who has brought nothing but joy and love into Eric's life. Unfortunately, Zuko’s world was turned upside down in the early hours of January 31st when Eric rushed him to the emergency vet after days of worry and concern.

For the past four days, Zuko had been vomiting non-stop, unable to keep even the smallest bit of food down. As you can imagine, this left Eric feeling helpless and deeply worried for his furry best friend. After staying up all night, anxiously waiting for answers, the vet took some X-rays, and what they discovered was shocking. Zuko had ingested one of his own toys, and it was now stuck in his small intestine, causing a blockage that was making him so incredibly sick. What had been a mystery for days—why Zuko couldn't stop throwing up—was finally explained.

But the journey didn’t end there. The vet confirmed that Zuko would need surgery to remove the toy from his intestines. The cost of the surgery alone is over $8,000, and Eric, like most of us, was not prepared for this financial burden. Just days earlier, Eric had already paid $1,400 for the initial emergency vet visit and X-rays. Now, with the surgery required to save Zuko’s life, the total bill is quickly climbing, and Eric is understandably overwhelmed.

As friends of Eric and Zuko, we—Geraldine and Dayna—are asking for your help. We want to ease some of the immense financial pressure Eric is facing so he can focus on being there for his little companion during this difficult time. We know that any amount you can contribute will go directly to Zuko’s surgery, recovery, and any unforeseen costs that come with this emergency situation.
