My family and I are asking for a little help, and this is something we never really do. We are more likely to help and ask for nothing in return.  My little sister Lea and her boyfriend Chris are expecting there second child, another little girl.  In April they were told she will be born with Spina Bifida. In short Spina Bifida is when the spinal cord does not close and is exposed.  Baby has been diagonsed with the most severe form of Spina Bifida called myelomenigocele.  We will not know what type of disabilites she will be born with.  We do know the day after she is born a surgery will be performed to close the spinal cord, and there is also a possibilty of shunts being put in her head to drain fluid to prevent any brain damage.  She will then spend the first month of her life in the NICU.  Baby will be will be here in August and Mom and Dad will need some help. Any donations will go to medical bills, hotel stays (the hospital is an hour and half away from home), and any special equipment needed to care for baby.  Please donate and help my family.
