Questa è Sveva di Prisconte, una cucciola di dobermann. Nella foto ha appena due mesi. Appena comprata in allevamento, è subito stata accolta con gioia in famiglia, ma purtroppo durante la visita per la terza vaccinazione il veterinario ha avuto un terribile sospetto, che poi è stato riscontrato in analisi successive.
Sveva ha una malformazione congenita al cuore, il dotto arterioso pervio, noto anche come Pda.
Il dotto arterioso pervio è uno dei difetti cardiaci congeniti più comuni nel cane, il terzo in ordine di frequenza. Il dotto di Botallo è un vaso sanguigno che, durante la vita fetale, mette in comunicazione l’arteria polmonare con l’aorta discendente.
Esso è indispensabile durante la vita intrauterina, ma dovrebbe chiudersi entro poche ore dalla nascita. In Sveva questa chiusura non è avvenuta, e quindi una parte del sangue espulso in aorta entra nel circolo polmonare, provocando un grave sovraccarico, che culmina con l’insufficienza cardiaca. Se non si opera, Sveva morirà precocemente.
La vita di Sveva è a rischio. Dovrà sottoporsi a un delicatissimo e costoso intervento cardiochirurgico, cui purtroppo non possiamo fare fronte con le nostre sole forze.
Naturalmente abbiamo interpellato l'allevamento di Prisconte, che ci ha venduto Sveva, ma la loro unica proposta è stata la consegna di un altro cucciolo di pari valore.
Naturalmente, separarci da Sveva è già impossibile.
Chiediamo l'aiuto di tutti voi per fare fronte a queste spese impreviste e tentare di salvare la vita di Sveva.

Sveva has a congenital heart malformation, the patent ductus arteriosus, also known as Pda.
Patent ductus arteriosus is one of the most common congenital heart defects in dogs, the third in order of frequency. The Botallo duct is a blood vessel that, during fetal life, connects the pulmonary artery with the descending aorta.
It is indispensable during intrauterine life, but should close within hours of birth. In Sveva this closure did not occur, and therefore part of the blood expelled into the aorta enters the pulmonary circulation, causing severe overload, which culminates in heart failure. If not operated, Sveva will die prematurely.
Sveva's life is at risk. He will have to undergo a very delicate and expensive cardiac surgery, which unfortunately we cannot cope with on our own strength.
Of course we contacted the Prisconte kennel, who sold Sveva to us, but their only proposal was the delivery of another puppy of equal value.
Of course, parting with Sveva is already impossible.
We ask for the help of all of you to meet these unexpected expenses and to try to save Sveva's life.
