Help for 4 year old sweet Matthew
Donation protected
Hello and thanks for reading this.
I have been close friends with the Watkins family for over 30 years and they are wonderful people and need some help now.
Jason and Dawns son, Matthew, is 4 years old. On new years eve 2015, he was diagnosed with cancer and on new years day he underwent an 8 hour surgery which removed his kidney and the tumor on it.
Unfortunately they also found several other tumors in his lungs, but he is not strong enough to endure another surgery to remove those at this time. Since this is an aggressive cancer, they are starting him on chemo and radiation treatments now, and will schedule the surgery when he is stable and strong enough.
Matthew and his family live in Hilmar, CA, but the hospital treating him is in Roseville, CA. This is about 120 miles one way from home to the hospital. He is currently admitted and staying there and his family is staying in a nearby hotel, of course someone is always with him at the hospital. The doctor has said the treatment would last about 15 months, which, as you can imagine, will be a tremendous strain on him and the family emotionally, physically and financially.
We can help by praying, be supportive in any way and of course financially which will alleviate some extra burden on them so they can concentrate on the healing of their son instead of the financial part of this.
Please donate if you are able, and please SHARE this as much as possible so that we can get them some help. Please keep them in your prayers as well!
On behalf of the Watkins family, we thank your for your generosity, prayers and support!
