Help Dani rebuild after the fire
I'm here to ask you to join me, to help our beloved friend Dani (Danielle) Bryant, who tragically lost her home and car, which perished in the devastating Santa Rosa fire.
In fact, we are lucky she is alive, and with us today. The early morning of October 8th, Dani and her beloved Chuck were awakened at 2am, with an order to immediately evacuate their home. They had only enough time to hold onto each other and their beloved pet Nellie Jo, as they ran for their lives, through 'a warzone of smoke and fire', as Chuck described it. If it couldn't get any wose, it was also Chuck's birthday, but in true Chuck form, he thanked everyone for their love and support, and expressed his gratitude that what was most important survived the fire: his beloved Danielle, and their beloved pet, Nellie Jo.
In the 90s, I won the 'life lotto', as I was cast in an exciting production at the now-defunct Actor's Group Playhouse in Santa Rosa, called THE SECRET RAPTURE by David Hare. Dani treated me as if we were long-lost sisters from the first cast table-read, and we've stayed friends, which I'm enormously grateful for: as you know, once Dani is in your life, you never want to let her go! I still hold that show experience at the Actor's Group Playhouse with Dani, as one of my most cherished theatrical production memories.
Dani is an adored member of her family and circle of friends, she is a talented artist who has long been revered by other artists she's worked with, her generosity towards everyone who crosses through her life, her monumental heart of compassion, her joy for life (Dani has THE greatest laugh on this planet)
and the love she shares for others, not only with her friends and family, but the love Dani and her beloved Chuck share with each other, is the enviable stuff that Shakepeare penned in his famous sonnets.
I know that if this similar tragedy, of losing our home and our car, happened to any of us, Dani would be there for us, on our front doorstep, ready to give us the clothes off her back, or any resources she had to offer, that could help us weather the loss of our home, car and livelihood.
I know that the amount I'm asking for your help with, will not bring back Dani's home, her cherished mementos, or her car, but it will help her with much-needed resources in the interim, so she can get back up on her feet. Remember, EVERYTHING she had, materially, was lost in the fire, including her car, and she now has the unimaginable, uneviable task of rebuilding her life from scratch. Let's help Dani ANY WAY we can.
(Yes, these horrifying pictures are what's left, after the destruction to Dani's home and her car)
Please, I ask that You, as a Community, to join me in helping Danielle with our financial resources, beyond our thoughts and prayers.
I just know, if any of us were going through the unimaginable nightmare of losing our homes and our car, to help transport ourselves to and from our daily lives (running errands, getting to our jobs, etc), Dani would be there for us, helping every step of the way.
Thank you, in advance, for your help, everyone! Even $5 will go a long way to helping meet this fundraiser, for our beloved Danielle Bryant.
