My Journey to College

My name is Rebecca and I’m a recent high school graduate from UCLA Community School. In the fall I will be attending UC Merced as a freshman. My father alway told me about how he wishes a different future for me because of all the things that he went through as a kid and I’m happy that I’m pursuing a higher education. I am the first in my family to go to college and I am proud to be able to set a positive example for my younger sister. However, due to certain financial problems I will need some support to pay for the rest of my tuition fees. I am already taking on some loans but it’s still not enough to cover the rest of my tuition and book fees. If you could, please take time to read this and if you are able to donate any amount of money it would be very much appreciated.
