Aaron Brenneke Medical/Family Fund

My name is Jodi and I am raising money for my sister, Julie, and her family.  As some of you know, my sister's husband (of 20 years) Aaron passed away early Friday morning.   He has been sick for a long time and had many surgeries following his liver transplant in 2001.  In his most recent hospitalization, Aaron and Julie spent 8 weeks in the hospital in Madison.  About three weeks ago, the doctors told them that there was nothing more that they could do and that this time his illness was not controllable.  With his liver and white blood count rising he was sent home with comfort care from Hospice.  Once home, Julie and the kids cared for all his needs (giving medications, changing bandages, etc) for two weeks before he was welcomed into heaven.  

The hospital bills for his surgeries, 1:1 care and all of his medications have added up very quickly.  Luckily Aaron was on Medicare which pays up to 80%, but that leaves Julie still owing over 6 figures on medical bills.   His medical bill total is well over 2 million dollars at this point.  These bills have already begun arriving in the mail daily.

Please understand that this family is not in the habit of asking for help and they would never do so on their own.  However, Julie has been unable to work in 10 weeks so simple things like paying monthly bills are a challenge right now.  If you can spare it please consider donating, Julie and the kids would be grateful.  If you are not in position to help monetarily, prayers are gratefully appreciated as well.  Please help in any way you feel that you can.  May God bless all of you!!!
