Help 3yr Old Abby beat Cancer

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Aunty shae . For the last 2 months my niece Abigail, (3 yrs old) has been very sick, November 18th 2023, we got the call Abigail has leukemia at which point the entire family broke down. Within days and after a 1500$ ambulance ride to saskatoon and more testing my Brother and his wife were told the original hospital was wrong and she now had a bone infection, blood infection and group a strep. After a week they were then sent home to regina where Abigail was now subject to a picline and given her IV antibiotics from home on the daily, at this point we hoped the worst was over. Then abigails neutrophils dropped to nearly 0 leaving her extremely immunocomprimised and her parents scared of the common cold for risk of it killing her, During which time Abigail developed RSV and could not walk and complained about bone pain amoung other things. Causing her dad to carry her around for 3 days. Taken to the hospital multiple times where they were always told she will be fine until one day my sister in law had enough. She then called saskatoon and told them what was going on at whoch point they called Regina and told them to admit Abigail and figure out what is wrong as she was clearly sick and in need of a diagnosis. Thank god for my Brother and Sister in law advocating for there daughter. Finally January 12,2024 after a full body scan and a bone marrow biopsy my family learned she has what's called Acute Myeloid Leukemia with Monocyte Differential. This is a rare form of leukemia and needs special genetic marker testing to tell us which form it is. As of now her biopsy speciman is being sent to a lab in the states for further testing. The less agressive form of AML can be treated with 6 months of aggressive chemo in saskatoon with a hopeful outcome, unfortunately the more aggressive cancer needs bonemarrow transfusions along with chemo and there is no guarantee :( . My sister in law, niece and family are being relocated to a different town to start treatment immediately. Autumn, Alexander, Kayleigh and Keith dont want to be away from there sister at this time . This means my sister in law is unable to work for the foreseeable future and dad is taking care of the rest of the family. Until the results of the bonemarrow are determined they will reside in saskatoon if worst case she has the more aggressive form of AML they will have to relocate to Winnipeg where the hospitals are better equipped to help her fight. For the next 6 months atleast the Family will have to take on the expenses of 2 different homes.

Thank you so much for reading, updates coming as we know more.
Please keep My niece in your thought and prayers
