Family in Need

Dear Family & Friends,

One of my students and family members are going through an extremely difficult time. Three years ago, they lost their Mother very tragically and this last weekend they lost their Father. While these losses have been very traumatic,they continue to maintain a positive outlook and it is so evident how deeply they care about each other. It is an incredible thing to witness and even though they come to our school to learn -they are teaching us so much. Today, one of the children told me that this really makes her remember that family is the most important thing. They are each other’s light in the darkest of moments. Although, they have love of their siblings, most of their extended family do not live in the U.S. and are not available to provide support in the way they need. They would also never ask for help . In fact , when I ask my student what she needs , it’s usually a hug or a piece of chocolate. However , the truth is they will need a lot of financial support as they live in poverty and need money for upcoming funeral costs, bills, moving fees, ect. I know it is a difficult time for people to donate but they would truly be so grateful for the smallest of donations. The money will be delivered to the oldest sibling who has taken on the majority of the responsibilities and care of the younger ones. If you are unable to donate, I understand .Prayers, love , and positive thoughts would also be greatly appreciated!!
