Hello, my name is Davide Potestio, and I’m reaching out to ask for your support for my beloved aunt, Damarys Burton. For me, my brother, and our 20+ cousins in Venezuela, she has always been the best aunt anyone could ask for. We remember her as the one who always had a big smile, incredible strength, and grace. She brought us toys, sweets, and endless joy, and we will always cherish those memories.

Unfortunately, over the past month, my aunt’s health has taken a serious turn. Following an important operation, she suffered a stroke, which has left her struggling to speak, move, and be the vibrant person we all know and love.

Damarys needs our help now more than ever. Her situation is even more challenging because she and her family are living in Venezuela, where the crisis has made access to hospital supplies, medical care, and even basic transportation extremely difficult.

I’m doing everything I can to support my family, but we need your help. We want to see our dear aunt regain her strength and happiness, just as we remember her. The therapies she needs for speech, movement, and other essential care are incredibly expensive, and we’re hoping to come together as a community to support this amazing missionary family.

The Burton family has touched so many lives in Venezuela, and now, in their time of need, we want to be there for them. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a huge difference.

We believe in a powerful God who is in control. Even when doctors told us my aunt had only 48 hours to survive, we have witnessed the strength that only the Lord can provide—she is still with us and fighting every day.

The costs :

She needs a special nurse for some areas of recovery, this will be a monthly cost together of $700-1000. WE are hoping that she will get back sooner than later. Thanks a lot.
