Baby Brenden's Medical Fund
Donation protected
On Saturday, April 9, 2016, my long time best friend Jessica and her husband, Chris, welcomed two beautiful amazing twin babies Brenden and Briella into the world. The joy of the moment was short lived for Jessica, her husband Chris, and their two year old son Ben as the twins were born 6wks premature. Briella weighed in at 5lbs 10oz. While Brenden only weighed in at an itty bitty 2lbs 12oz. The most troubling part of the situation is Brenden is struggling with multiple heart defects, as well as, possible genetic disorders that are yet to be diagnosed. Due to his small size and other complications, they are unable to perform many of the needed tests and surgeries until he can reach five pounds.
Baby Brenden is getting expert, yet very expensive care at Medical City in Dallas, which is more than 45 minutes from their home. As you can imagine, this distance puts a huge strain on the family since he has to remain true he NICU for a while. This could take several months. As I’m sure you can guess, it is going to be very costly for the family.
Both Jessica and Chris are teachers and coaches in their community of Denton, and two of the most kind and caring people you could hope to meet. The cost of all the medical expenses are going to put a huge financial strain on the family in an already stressful time. Just for Brenden to stay at the hospital costs over $3,000 dollars a day, a good portion of this is NOT covered by insurance.
I am setting up this fund in hopes that we can all help make this time a little less stressful. There are not enough words to make this easier on them, and I would like you to just put yourselves in their shoes for a moment. Please give whatever amount you can part with. It’s going to be a long road for Brenden and his family, and I can only hope that perhaps helping lift some of the financial burden can help alleviate some stress for this wonderful family. Jessica & Chris will forever be grateful for your kindness and generosity in their time of need. I would also ask that you extend your prayers and please feel free to leave positive words of encouragement for the family.
