Bill Stephens Emergency Moving Fund
Bill Stephens, a pillar of the McHenry, Illinois Community, is now faced with a huge move after his home was foreclosed on due to unfortunate circumstances that were out of his control. We're asking you to please offer what assistance you are comfortably able to afford. Bill and everyone on our team sincerely appreciate everything you do.
What Led Up To This Situation
In 2013, Bill suffered a massive coronary episode requiring a life-saving quintuple bypass. He was forced to take months off work as a news photojournalist and as a small business owner. Bill currently operates both careers out of the home he is about to lose. Your assistance, in any amount, in any way, will be a blessing and so appreciated.
Sadly in 2014, Bill was diagnosed with bladder cancer. The disease returned again in 2016. While, he made a full recovery and remains in remission, the damages of all the events of the past six year have taken their physical toll on Bill.
The opportunity for Bill to get caught up on the then only $35,000 mortgage payment through a state adjudicated grant program was approved, but the lender refused the payment for reasons that are still unclear to this day.
A Light At The End Of The Tunnel
Please note that 100% of the funds raised via this platform will be applied to paying the mortgage company back due funds. This will help Bill to move not only himself and his personal affects of over 30 years, but his company and its equipment. Bill has run a successful service-oriented business out of his home as well.
About The First Responder, Friend, Father & More
The picture above says it all. You see Bill Stephens on the left side, in the middle his turnout gear from the fire department and on the right, Bill's home he will be losing. Bill is well-known and adored by many of you and people you know. He served as a first-responder for many years and is still an incident photographer for McHenry County area fire departments. He's a family man, a business man, a mentor, father, friend, brother, son, and hero to hundreds of people whose lives he has made better through his good deeds and unselfish giving throughout the years.
Over the years, Bill has given his last loaf of bread to hungry people, filled people's gas tanks and chose to walk places instead. Bill has opened his home to people in need, volunteering time and resources to others even when it meant he may have gone without for a while.
Now, Bill is the one who is in dire need. He is NOT asking for a hand-out, but a hand up. We, his friends, are asking you to give him a hand up and out of his current situation. Please help Bill and please share this with everyone you know. You don't know just how much this means to us that you're here now willing to help a man we consider a family member who is loved very much. Thank you and may the blessing you give today be returned to you many times abundantly.
Thank you.
