Marine Veteran Geoffrey Bowen 28

Geoffrey Michael Bowen joined the Marines as a rifleman in December 2005. He deployed to Iraq twice in 2007 and again in 2008 and served with 2nd Battalion, 6th Marines. He left the service as a corporal in December 2009. Brother Kenneth, also a Marine stated that "Geoff loved his fellow Marines and he was proud to have served."
Geoff had recently been struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and left a suicide note. And until yesterday, he had been missing for several weeks. It weighs heavy on the heart knowing that we will no longer see Geoff's smiling face, but that he can now rest in peace.
"Geoff loved camping, fishing, and hunting at Silver Lake in Dexter,” Kenneth said. “He’s enjoyed the Post 46 campground every summer since he was very young and loved to go tubing and kneeboarding behind his dad’s boat.”
He loved spending time with his family, and enjoying their company. Geoff was a Father, Son, Brother, Husband, and Friend. He will surely be thought of often, and be missed by so many.
We are raising money to help his family that he has left behind as they deal with this loss and tragedy. His wife Lauren, and their 2 small children Augie (2 1/2yrs), and Tanner (10 mth). His Mother, and two Brothers.
As the family mourns, lets all come together and help them financially with whatever may come. Anything will help.......share and spread the word.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. We appreciate anything. God Bless.
