As we have all seen these gofundme pages multiple times, I now see why this site exists and sure enough it's my time to create one.

This gofundme page is written by Loriel Graziano. For those who don't know me, I am Kasey’s oldest sister and I will remain truthful and honest when I write this.

Did you know 2 out of 3 women are incarcerated today with felony charges for defending themselves against their abuser?

Kasey Graziano is one of them.

THIS IS KASEY'S REALITY:

My sister Kasey had moved to North Carolina on a whim . Being the older sister I can proudly say she has provided for herself for years. Fast forward, Kasey was married and soon divorced as her marriage was filled with nothing but abuse. My sister has FOREVER stayed silent about this as she was pushing everyone to accept her 'then husband'. Kasey thought staying silent was being strong and hoped one day the physical torment would just go away. I am first to say my sister Kasey has been abused by her ex-husband countless times.

 Kasey (who has dealt with nothing but pure pain during this time) has sunk her reality so deep she was unaware she was being mentally abused aswell. Without making it known, Kasey has taken the proper steps and filed for an order of protection after her divorce. As she was aiming to move forward, she wanted to see a physictrist in hopes of getting her life back on track. Kasey wasn't herself and she knew it. Soon enough Kasey was diagnosed with PTSD. She has been prescribed medication and was told to take part in therapy sessions. Kasey willingly listened to her physictrist and took all ample steps to help keep herself safe. Kasey has always put a smile on her face as she continued to work six days a week. One, to provide for herself and two to mask her suffering.

THE NIGHT THAT CHANGED KASEY'S LIFE:

I was on the phone with Kasey in the early hours of June 7th. We spoke for a good half hour as she was getting ready for bed. Kasey was content and happy to be home after completing another long day. I was rushed off the phone because her ex-husband (who she had no contact with) had called her out of nowhere. My sister and I said goodnight to each other and hung up. I found out Kasey was arrested hours later for defending herself against her ex-husband who had shown up to her house shortly after his call to her. There is not much more I can say here..

Kasey (who now sits behind bars) is currently facing four felony charges including an attempt murder charge soley for defending herself.

My family is currently getting funds together to take care of Kasey’s court/attorney, etc. fees and her bail ($175,000) as she is stuck in a North Carolina jail at the moment. We can not put any property up for collateral because we don't own any house or property in the State of North Carolina.

ALL of these funds will go solely to Kasey to help us help her with whatever she is up against. Please understand, there are many other things that need to be paid for regarding Kasey’s current situation.

Kasey will have her day in court and she will be proud to know we are all standing behind her. HELP BRING KASEY HOME!!

As none of this is easy for us, we may be short when talking about any of this. It hurts us deeply to know Kasey may be facing a long time in jail. Help my family get through this difficult time.
