Medical Fund for Carrie KeithTaylor

My friend Carrie has always been one to help those in need.  She is a faithful Christian believer that has spent her life giving of herself.  As far back as high school she has cared for children that didn't belong to her, helped friends in need.  As she became a woman she took on greater roles with the community and church.  Carrie has graciously and willingly walked through life with terminally ill friends and made their journeys easier.  She takes on all of the burdens of those she loves and takes action.  Carrie has worked with Haitian orphans and travel to the impoverished country to help in a time of need, spent many nights stiching pants to send to the children with no clothes.  She has been a loyal friend and has touched many lives.  She made friends with the elders of Georgetown when they would visit her bistro, she had love and grace and compassion for them and everyone she has ever come to know.   My hope is that you will donate AND SHARE this on your page to reach everyone and anyone with an equally kind and helpful heart, from here to Haiti and back to pay it forward or perform a random act of kindness to help her in a time of need.  In the last year and a half, she has endured multiple critical ailments and hospital stays with lengthy homebound quarantines due to a severely weakened immune system. What started with a flu and pneumonia and long term hospitalization in December 2013 has evolved into a year and a half of an overburdened body trying effortlessly to become well.  Unfortunately, it has not happened and in February of this year, after experiencing ongoing symptoms of fever and swollen glands, Carrie partnered with a more aggressive doctor who began working diligently to get to the bottom of this underlying ailment.  After a battery of biopsies, procedures, scans, and surgeries… we are anxiously awaiting a final treatment plan and diagnosis.

As recently as 4 weeks ago she had her tonsils and lymph nodes removed in her throat, and the healing process had been excruciating.  The preliminary diagnosis has been made; which is a rare lymphatic disease of the nodes in her neck and throat, arm, and potentially other areas. As of today, she is facing additional testing and potential surgeries that will lead to the most effective treatment. This disease is known to copy the symptoms of some types of Lymphoma although this is not currently being called Lymphoma, the final diagnosis has not yet been made.   Carrie has   confidence in the new doctors she is hopeful she will get to a path of wellness.   She has been unable work in between Dr. appointments, tests, procedures, recovering from surgery, and the road to treatment.

With mounting medical bills from both last year’s illness and hospital stay and the current protocols of medications, surgeries, scans and hospital stays…this page has been established by her closest friends, her sisters in life,  to relieve the debt and help with the medical costs that she will incur over the next months if not years.  We greatly appreciate any amount you are able to contribute, we continue to ask for your prayers for proper diagnosis and healing.

Acts 20:35

“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
