Help Chase Get Started After Getting Out

Donation protected
Chase is 25, deaf, and has lived in Michigan since coming to the U.S. from Uzbekistan at age 11. In June 2020, following the George Floyd Rebellion, he was the eighth person in the Grand Rapids area to be arrested and charged with riot. He spent two years in the Kent County Jail without a trial, enduring awful conditions throughout the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and unable to bond out because of an alleged parole violation that would have gotten him transferred straight to prison.

After being sentenced and finally getting out of jail in June 2022, Chase is looking for a new job. He needs money in the meantime for food, new clothes, and other essentials.

If you can, please help our friend whose life has been hugely disrupted by state repression. Solidarity and support would be so appreciated!
