Help for TN & Chennai Flood Victims

Dear Friends,

Thanks for taking time to read and care about our fellow Indians suffering in the severe flood affected areas of Chennai & Tamilnadu.



My Team & my relationship to my mother state (Thai Nadu)

Myself Nikhil Padmanabhan, basically from Tamil Nadu,
IT Software Developer and working since past 5 years in various tech firms in the bayarea, California, I started involving in activities like these during Corporate Social Responsibility activities taking place in my multi national client companies, which has now bought me here to work with my employer "Appi Anna", very own Non Profit Organization AHR Foundation,


This Initiative is led by my Father Mr.N Padmanbhan and my mother (Prema) elder brother N.Lalith Mohan,
other members of my team are my cousins led by Prabhu Lalithmohan (a VIT Graduate).

Our Team's Works so far :

We have helped many children from different parts of India, and same has been covered by many regional newspapers of southern India, so far over the years through various parts of India and again time has come to help namma chennai & namma nadu Thamil Nadu. Since the scale of this tragic flood is very high, My very own family's young voluntary team, mostly from country wide famous Vellore Institute of Technology, namely Prema Charitable Trust is also helping by associating with AHR to save our precious state from this current





Reason behind initiating this campaign :

My unconditional love towards my Janma bhoomi (Birth place) and also the sadness found on the face of millions of my fellow countrymen who are suffering the current
Floods caused by the depression formed in Bay of Bengal resulting into a cyclone, last but not the least what triggered me to launch this campaign is due to our current ignorant Government's selfish political attitude of pasting stickers of leaders on the food supplies and snatching relief contributions from genuine donors to re give them to the needy and claiming as their contribution .

Current Situation & Our Mission :





It's sad to see the sad state of busy metro city, now become a virtual island, People don't have place to sleep, slums washed away, water snakes entering houses, disease spreading due to mosquitoes breeding at large. It has been reported that almost more than 200 people were killed and thousands of people have been missing & injured from their homes post tragedy.
People from the low lying Areas have been evacuated and also been promised with relief funds by the CM for each family affected by the disaster, as the death toll is continuously rising and the affected members reaching close to a million, the recovery funds are proving to be insufficient, time has come to show the care and concern in the best way we can from here.



How your funds will help and save the victims :


We promise to help the deceased with access to food, drinking water, temporary shelters and medicine, electric heaters along with ready to cook packed items lasting few weeks with portable power banks for mobiles along with recharge for communicating with their dear ones.

We are using  Xoom to Transfer the money from here to Vellore ICICI gandhinagar branch as and when the funds keep coming. Screenshots of the same will be posted in updates.

As we are a young team of IT professionals working all across America, who are trying our best to support the needy at this dire situation from here, using various open source technical tools like Google spreadsheets we are maintaining all the spent funds, upon request we will be happy to provide, receipts of the purchased aids will be available on drop box or in whatsapp group.


Our Mission is to first reach out to the families of the  passed away victims mainly in slums and then to the people who are in need of immediate help for relocation we will ensure to provide timely  updates and report our aids in the best way we can, thereby assuring you transparency of your donations reaching directly to the needy people of Chennai and Tamil Nadu,
