Thomas "Chip" Lambert was diagnosed with bladder cancer in March of 2019, Doctors believe it had stemmed from his previous radiation he had received as a two time testicular cancer survivor years prior. He has had two bladder surgeries to remove the cancer, and unfortunately during the second surgery doctors discovered his atrial fibrillation and flutter. Chip under went chemo by BCG* (Bacillus calmette-guerin (BCG) therapy: BCG is a type of intravesical immunotherapy, and can be an appropriate way to treat early-stage bladder cancer.) Unfortunately after his first round he got an infection which went septic. The sepsis affected his heart and lungs and as a result he was in congestive heart failure. He has recently went in for a echocardiogram to discuss a defibrillator, and will start a new chemo treatment Aug 2nd.  Through this a blood clot was recently discovered which luckily went to an artery in his food and not his brain. Chip has also endured 3 hip replacements and was also displaced last year in Beaufort, NC due to Hurricane Florence. Through all of this Chip has continued to work to stay afloat despite the numerous set backs. Chip is the man who would give you the shirt off his back, take time to ask about your day, ask about your kids, dog or family. He genuinely deserves to catch a break or even a breath but never mention it in hopes not to burden someone else. If you could, please help in any way. Thank you!
