Help Clean Our Waterways

I am a self employed entertainer and artist. Due to the canceling of festivals and art classes I have lost all of my work as a living statue performer and art model (90% of my income) and my PUA unemployment has yet to come through.
I am staying afloat (pun intended, read on to see why) by cleaning a local church 10-15 hours per week, hand stitching cloth face masks, and helping out at my friend’s soap shop 1-2 days a week as needed. I have been filling my free time with a lot of outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking-lots of kayaking so that I can keep my distance to stay safe and keep others safe. One thing I always notice wherever I’m paddling is the trash in our waterways, particularly plastic water bottles. I try to grab a couple from the water whenever I am kayaking (padding etiquette 101-don’t return to shore empty handed).
What I am proposing is that I spend a minimum 10 hours per week (2-3 days) in the water focused on cleaning trash from whatever river or lake I am paddling in. Today I spent 5 hours on the Milwaukee and Menomonee Rivers & saw so many plastic bottles & other assorted garbage I wanted to get it all out! My friend and I even managed to safely remove a needle from the water!
I’ve set my goal at $3,000 because that would enable me to get all the supplies I need and pay myself $15/hr ($150 per week for 15 weeks from the week of July 20th-the week of October 26th. If I made $6,000 I could actually get a second kayak & take someone else with me each time & pay them, therefore helping a few other people tread these rough waters (see what I did there? ) If you love our waterways & agree that trash floating in them is bad for the environment and you are able to give a little to this cause I would appreciate it immensely as would the animals!!
