Help Courtney Fight Cancer

Hello friends of Courtney and the Echerd family. There are so many of us who love this family and have been blessed abundantly having them in our lives. Our dear friend is fighting a horrific fight. For those of you who are able, please consider donating to this fundraiser to help offset the medical bills, housing costs, and the many other expenses they will incur on this long battle ahead.

After over 18 months of pain and doctor’s visits, cancer was suspected on September 12. It was difficult to diagnose and took many hospitals and doctors. Courtney was officially diagnosed with a pelvic osteosarcoma just a few weeks ago. She struggles with a large tumor on the back left of her pelvis which leads to leg pain and overall constant discomfort. She also struggles with the side effects of her treatment. She is currently on crutches and about to enter into round 2 of chemotherapy at MD Anderson in Houston. The treatment plan will continue with surgery and then more chemo.

Please pray for complete recovery and no lasting impacts on Courtney’s body other than a new sense of life and story to tell of a miracle.

She is already incurring significant expenses and many more are expected to come. Currently, the average cost of a day is about $300 even with amazing insurance. Your financial support will help fund:

• relocation costs of the family moving to Houston full-time during her treatment, including renting an apartment

• hospital costs, medical bills, other uncovered medical costs

• replacing all of Courtney’s items to be nontoxic: clothing, toiletries, cleaning items,

• therapy

• transportation costs

• very specific diet with expensive food costs
