Please Help Dean Fight Cancer
Donation protected
A trip to the ER changed our lives forever. On January 23, 2015, my husband Dean came home complaining about a headache and double vision. So with those symptoms, we went straight to the ER. In a matter of three hours, life as we knew it started to change. Dean was given a CAT scan that showed a mass on his brain and also swelling on the brain. After more x-rays, bone scans, and MRIs, it was revealed that something suspicious was in his lungs and on the shoulder blade. Dean was admitted to the hospital and surgery was performed to remove the mass on his brain.
The biopsy of the brain mass revealed that it was stage 4 renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) and had spread to the lungs, brain, and shoulder blade. In 2001, Dean was diagnosed with kidney cancer. At that time, they removed the right kidney and no treatment was needed. He was considered cancer-free from that point up until now.
Dean is a truck driver and can no longer work. I teach public school in Detroit. We have always been a hardworking family and able to manage our finances. Now, the hospital bills, and the bills for his medications and treatments are starting to come in and mount up to where we can hardly afford it.
We are humbly asking for your prayers and donations to help us fight this battle. Any amount you can donate would be most appreciated.
