Dru Needs Our Help!
In October of 2017 Dru had a mass removed from her abdomen. The surgery was anything but a success, resulting in further life threatening complications. The mass that was removed turned out to be malignant. After being discharged for almost a week from the hospital she was not feeling well and rushed to the ER. From there it was discovered that the procedure had perforated her colon and she was in septic shock. After numerous surgeries and six weeks in the ICU/ Hospital the doctors were able to save her life and get her on the road to recovery.
The last couple months have been spent in physical therapy and recorvering. The plan as of now is to undergo six rounds of chemotherapy. The Mayo Clinic has classified the cancer as Primary Rertopertineal Mucinous Carcinoma. It is very rare and not much is known outside of case studies. She started her first therapy on January 4th.
At this time Dru has had other compications with her recovery and is not able to return to work. Any help at this time would be much appreciated! Let's help Dru regain her full health.
