Help Eden

*** My daughter Eden (child pictured on the right) has been diagnosed and has symptoms of a rare disabling neurological condition called ‘Myocolonus Diaphragmatic Flutter’. Which she has been suffering from since November 2014. Diaphragmatic Flutter causes difficulty breathing, uncontrolled movements with pain. Symptoms can be severe and affect all aspects of her life.
Her condition prior to arriving in Colorado and beginning her treatment had progressed to daily attacks that disrupted her schooling and her life. This is a chronic and progressive conditon that is not expected to go into remission spontaneously. ***

Since the evening of the November 25th 2014,  my 9 year-old daughter Eden had developed "super-charged hiccups", these hiccups were unlike any hiccups that were normal.  

Eden started having these hiccup like spasms that came at a rate of around 150 spasms a minute.  On a good day it can cause  an involuntary punctuation to every word she speaks and painful contractions of her muscles starting in her diaphragm, rippling through her body. On a bad day her body can do the equivalent of a 30 mile run in 30 min together with the symptoms fore mentioned.

The attacks Eden had were relentless in London and did not stop for months until we came to Colorado.  Since then, Eden has been having 1 attack every two weeks thanks to the alternative treatments available in Colorado.   

So why am I continuing with fund raising?

We are needing to raise another £4000 in order to continue Eden's treatment.  There is also a strong indication that the answer to what is causing this disease in Eden is in her Mitrochondria as her symptoms mirror several other aggressive disorders in so many ways.  The Specialists that are helping Eden now in Colorado  are the best in the world who deal with many Neurological conditions.  

We need to continue this treatment in Colorado to hopefully cure Eden from this disease and have the funds to pay for living costs, transportation, food, medical bills and more medical bills.
