Want to join me in making a difference? 1NE-OFF Productions, in partnership with Bunbury Theatre, seek donors to cover the cost to mount the play HELPER by Patrick Tovatt for a three-week run from June 30th to July 16th of 2023 at The Henry Clay Theatre.

1NE-OFF Productions is a company of theatre professionals (Juergen Tossmann, Patrick Tovatt, Matt Orme & Steve Woodring) who collectively have over 200 years of professional experience in theatre, film, and television. The mission of the company is to present works with social relevance that have the potential to impact society and bring issues of social justice front and center.

Three-time Emmy Nominated actress Marci Miller (Days of Our Lives) joins Louisville veteran actors Matt Orme and Juergen Tossmann in this compelling and thought-provoking production.

Set in a coffee shop in Helper, Utah, a chance encounter turns deadly as festering cultural resentments, racism, and the stresses of single parenthood collide and erupt in sudden, inexplicable gun violence. Three lives and an entire community are left in its wake as the past meets the present, and an uncertain future awaits in this great new play by Emmy nominee Patrick Tovatt. Set design by Emmy Award-winning designer David Weller.

A 2021 study by the Pew Research Center found that gun violence, immigration, racism, and economic inequality are among the top ten issues Americans view as problematic. HELPER covers all these themes.

Donations will cover the cost of rehearsal space, theatre rental, security, material costs, educational outreach, Actors' Equity contracts, housing, marketing, and remuneration for talent and production personnel. A portion of ticket sales will be shared with organizations committed to educating the public on the aforementioned issues.
