Humanitarian effort for Omy & fam
Donation protected
Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me," - Mathew 25: 40
Many of us attend Sunday service and make donations, but when we leave the building we slip back into our daily routine. How quickly we forget the sermon, the spirit, the message to love our brothers and sisters as we love ourselves. God looks at what's in our hearts more than our outward appearance and what comes out our mouths.
We are coming together in a humanitarian effort to help this family in anyway we can because we feel in our hearts it's the right thing to do and a truly worthwhile cause. We have a 31-year-old Yonkers man named Omy who is suffering from a genetic progressive disease of which there is no cure. A disease that has already claimed his mother and two young sisters. We don't know how much time Omy currently has with us.
All that we would like to do is give him and his wife and 3 young children a good quality of life for the remaining time he has left. Today Omy is paralyzed on the left side of his body, has lost total hearing, and has partial paralysis on his face which causes him hearing problems. His quality if life is deteriating rapidly and by donating a few dollars we can help him help his family.
Please watch the video and you would understand better what we are talking about and what Omy's needs are. Omy is a long time resident of Yonkers. He did not ask for this disease. He didn't ask us to do this. He has always been able to do for his family and is merely trying to be the man his wife and children need him to be. But like many people these days he needs OUR HELP!
Please watch the video and search your heart and do whatever you can, give whatever you can to help Omy have a quality of life with his family for his remaining days.
