Hi everyone. I’m Roz, Rosalind Bellon...Patti and Scott Jawor are my sister and brother-in-law. Their family has suffered dramatically in the past 13 months. On January 6, 2021, Patti and Scott’s youngest daughter Claire suffered paralysis from her chest down. At first, they diagnosed her with Guillain Barre, and we began to see hope and recovery.

Patti and Scott’s oldest daughter Audrey Rose had recently graduated from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, with a degree in neuroscience. Audrey decided on her own to come back home to be with her family and help out with her sister, who at that time needed 24-hour care. Audrey left her new professional life helping developmentally disabled kids; her Colorado life filled with all the things involving her passion for the beloved outdoors, and her new home filled with college and professional chums.
Our dear sweet Audrey Rose left it all behind to come home and help care for her paralyzed sister. The family was grateful beyond belief, and soon Claire regained considerable use of her arms and hands. Still needing intense rehab, Audrey stayed by Claire’s side and took her out to beach bonfires, parties, lunches and dinners with friends, and walks and hikes all over San Diego County, their last trip being to Yosemite.
In January of 2022, Claire was more correctly diagnosed as having suffered a stroke affecting her spinal cord. But Audrey Rose, Patti, and Scott never gave up and continued with intensive rehab, unconditional love, and powerful family support for Claire’s recovery. We believe anything is possible!
On February 7, 2022, the Jawor family was again dealt another blow…our beautiful Audrey Rose was returning from a weekend getaway in Oregon. Her car was in Northern CA on the 101, driving through a construction zone. As they slowed for traffic, they were rear-ended by a speeding truck. Audrey was in the back seat and was killed instantly. Taken from us at twenty-five years old, she had a heart filled with kindness and giving, a soul filled with wisdom and love beyond her years; a young woman was taken from this earth only worthy of heaven.
Patti, Scott, and Claire are devastated, as we all are. We grieve the loss of Audrey Rose every day and miss her presence desperately. They firmly believe Audrey is in heaven and that the Lord saw her purity of heart and called her home. Their lives without Audrey will never be the same, and the family has been completely and forever altered.
Please help us support the Jawor family. Their loss is profound, and any contribution would be most appreciated at this moment in time. The assistance received will be put to good use; they have lost so much the list is endless…
Thank you all for your consideration. God bless and keep you.

This is an example of the kind of person Audrey was; she wrote this to her mother this last Christmas, and regularly wrote notes with this much thought and care to those she loved most.
