Help Fund Clarissa's Opera Dreams In Berlin!

Hello, my name is Clarissa Christina Smith. My passion for music has always been a driving force in my life, and my ultimate goal is to become a professional opera singer. This aspiration has led me to pursue a rigorous education in music and voice, as well as to seek out performance opportunities to develop my skills and gain valuable experience.

In pursuit of this goal, I obtained my master's degree in vocal performance from the University of Arizona and will be continuing my studies to obtain my doctoral degree in the fall. On top of these achievements, I have recently been accepted to the prestigious Summer School program at the Berlin Opera Academy. This program offers an incredible opportunity for me to perform Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte as well as cover La Contessa from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro. Performing two leading roles alongside professional agents and singers would be an invaluable experience for my development as a performer. However, I am facing a significant financial hardship that is preventing me from being able to attend the program.

The cost of tuition, living, and flight expenses for the program is around $6,000, which is a significant financial burden for me as a recent graduate. Despite working part-time while in school and saving as much as possible, I am unable to afford the cost of the program without financial assistance. The Berlin Opera Academy program is an incredible opportunity for me to gain experience and exposure that will be invaluable to my career as an opera singer. It would also allow me to network with other professionals in the industry and potentially open up new opportunities for me in the future. I am committed to my goals and aspirations and am grateful for any support that can be provided to help me achieve them.
