Greg's Medical Expenses & Recovery

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to read this and help support a close friend, Greg Bartlett.
He woke up Sunday morning October 8th with little feeling in his feet and arms, feeling fatigued and having difficulty walking. He was rushed to the Innermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. They admitted him into the ICU not knowing what was happening.
His symptoms of paralysis began to worsen and spread throughout his body, imobilizing him completely. Numbness has also spread to his face making it difficult to see and talk.
After two days of extensive blood tests, Xrays, CT scans and a spinal tap, the doctors have concluded a diagnonsis. They are calling it Guillain-Barre syndrome. They think he has a mild case, but the symptoms are getting worse every day. The exact cause is unknown.
It is a rare condition where your immune system attacks your nerves, leading to muscle weakness, paralysis and even loss of memory for extensive periods of time in some cases. Thankfully, Greg has not experienced any memory loss.
He has a long road to recovery ahead of him. He is starting IV treatments and he will also need extensive physical therapy moving forward toward recovery.
Greg is a self-employed business owner in Utah. He is in the service industry and his work requires him to be on his feet for long periods of time. If you know Greg you know he is a very active person as well. We are unsure how long this will keep him from working and regular activity, but at least several months. He will be in desperate need of financial aid to help pay his medical bills, physical therapy and cost of living.
Any amount will help and is greatly appreciated. Your prayers and fasting are very much needed and appreciated as well. We look forward to seeing him back on his feet, working and pumping iron in the gym.
We will try and make updates as they come, here and on facebook. If you have any questions you can also reach us through here or by email directly.
