Help Me Help Indy's Homeless Vets
Donation protected
The Domiciliary Care Program is the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) oldest health care program. Established through legislation passed in the late 1860's. Domiciliary care was initially established to provide services to economically-disadvantaged Veterans, and it remains committed to serving that group.
The Domiciliary has evolved from a "Soldiers' Home" to become an active clinical rehabilitation and treatment program for male and female Veterans and domiciliary programs are now integrated with the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation and Treatment Programs (MH RRTPs). Funds will be withdrawn by Wish For Our Heroes, who is working with me and the VA to get the funds to the facility.
The goal of this crowdfunding campaign is to improve the quality of the living conditions at the Indianapolis Domiciliary Care facility. This is a great way to show our local homeless vets that we're grateful for their service to our great country.
I will match the amount of funds raised in this campaign, up to $50,000.00. It's Hoosiers helping Hoosiers. It's what we do.
