Helping a Family Get Out Of Gaza

Hello, I hope you all are doing well!

My name is Mohamed Monir Ahmad Mahmoud, I’m a hemophilia patient from Gaza. I decided to start this campaign with all the hope that you could support me in evacuating Gaza to do surgery for me and my daughter and start a fresh life with my 5 kids out of the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

I’m 37 years old and I have been suffering due to the lack of Factor IX in Gaza for years, but since the recent escalation started in Gaza, I didn’t have any access to medication or medical care due to the huge number of wounded at the hospital and the destruction of the hospitals that I used to get medicine from (TIKKA Hospital and AlRantisisi Hospital). Besides, I was forced to leave my apartment in Khan Younis due to the bombardment and the Israeli evacuating orders and now I live in a tent in Rafah Streets.

I was supposed to go out at the end of 2023 to have surgery on my knees but since 7 October, I had no chance due to the procedures on Rafah crossing, the gate of Gazans to the world. Now, my knees and elbows are bleeding with no access to any type of care and if things stand as they are in Gaza, I won’t be able to walk or make any effort because of the bleeding (currently I am barely able to set up a small fire in front of the tent to prepare food for my kids).

The big issue is not me to be honest, it is my elder daughter Sana’a (11 years old), who needs to have surgery on her thigh. She had to do it as soon as possible because it affects the way she walks. The issue with Sana’a didn’t start recently as she was born with it. She went to Jordan, Egypt, and Jerusalem to do surgeries, but it wasn’t possible because she needed an advanced medical center that could do surgeries for people who carry the hemophilia gene which she inherited from me.

I had 4 other kids; 1 girl called Eman 10 years old, and 3 boys; Monir 7 years old, Jameel 5 Years old and Odai 2 years old.

What I ask is 60,000, for travel costs because each one would need to pay 5,000-8,000$ to be allowed to leave Gaza through Rafah crossing and we need around 3000$ more in Egypt for our stay and to obtain visas. We will be heading to Brazil where my brother Diaa lives and there is a huge chance to do the surgeries and access health care as the health care for Hemophilia patients in Brazil is one of the most advanced in the world.

When we go there, my brother will take care of our stay and our expenses. He also took care of the passports, but since the evacuating costs from Gaza are very high for the whole family, we need your support.
