Helping a fellow firefighter and his family.
On August 27, 2021, one of our Presidio Volunteer Fire Department junior firefighters, Andy Perez, and his family suffered a great loss due to a tragic traffic accident. Andy Perez became a volunteer firefighter with the PVFD during his senior year here in Presidio High School. Andy served and helped our community in its time of need, and without knowing who he was really helping he would answer the call without hesitation and sacrificed his life and answered that call. Andy’s mother Juana Montoya and grandmother Guadalupe Dominguez both passed away while driving on HWY 67 as a vehicle coming from the opposite direction swerved into their lane and causing a head-on collision. We kindly ask our community to please help our fellow fire brother Andy and his family who are in need of financial assistance for funeral expenses. Please help a helping hand…. May the Lord bless Andy and his entire family as they endure such painful loss and may they have the strength to continue this life without their loved ones. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will always go a long way. We are with you brother once a Firefighter always a Firefighter.
