Helping a North Primary School Family

Donation protected
Mount Gambier North Primary School SSO Jason Dunn is waxing his head to raise money for a local family in need.

Many in our community know Jason Dunn and the amazing work he does with students as an SSO at North, and he's continuing that by putting himself through having his head waxed for a good cause.

While the identity of the family will remain anonymous for confidentiality reasons, those donating can trust the money is going to a family who really needs it, with the support of Mount Gambier North Primary, local charity Four Reasons Why and Limestone Coast Community News.

"This is so important to us." Jason said. "I've known the family for years, they've all come through here at North. We watched them all grow up from little tackers right through."

Jason will continue growing his hair until the big day on April 11th, with Stormy-Lea Schembri from Revitalize Hair and Beauty doing the waxing in the school gym from 2:30pm.

Speaking on why he's decided to go through with it, Jason said "It's just something you do."

"It's definitely worth the pain for the outcome. The pain's nothing if we can help this family." he said.

Cash donations are also accepted at the North Primary School front office.
