After an 11 year battle with cancer, my father took his final breath 04/18/2022. His fight with cancer had endless chemo and radiation sessions, two bone marrow stem cell transplants, various medications and lastly a clinical trial. The cancer beat my dad, physically and at the end mentally. My dad couldn’t fight anymore, and he ended his fight in his way. Please, consider donating to this fund for funeral expenses and living expenses. This was a huge shock to us all and something no one woke up yesterday expecting to happen.

Hi everyone reading this, my name is Katrina and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my father Ricky Carroll. For those of you who know me or my family, you know my dad has courageously battled Multiple Myeloma, for ten years. Multiple Myeloma is a non-curable cancer that attacks the plasma cells in bone marrow.

My dad has undergone countless amounts of chemotherapy, radiation and two stem-cell bone marrow transplants (both times spent with a month long hospital stay) . After his most recent pet scan, we learned the radiation/chemotherapy did not drastically change his mass in his coccyx (tailbone), and that a new large mass on his shoulder, and brain have appeared. He has been presented with the option for another stem cell transplant, this time with even stronger chemo and a longer hospital stay- close to three months.

My dad owns his own small business selling produce and is an avid antique collector. Being in the hospital and being sick makes it hard to make sales, and the recent hurricane totaled the basement he stores his antiques in that he sells on eBay. For those of you who know my dad, he is a hard worker. He is kind, willing to do anything and is the first to help anyone else. With that being said, his pride would never allow him to ask anyone for help, which is why I am.

This money would go towards helping pay the mortgage, groceries and life's regular bills. I am asking you to please help and donate whatever you can to help my parents make it through another fight. I am asking you to please help because this brave, strong, proud man needs it and he would never ask. I am asking you to please help because as a helpless daughter, I know how powerful the internet is, and I need to give them some sort of relief.

I have personally raised almost 20k for Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation to find a cure for this disease, and now I am asking you to help me raise that kind of money for a cancer patient who could use the help.
