Helping a Turkish student for a successful future

We humbly reach out to you today for Buket, a Turkish student who finds herself in the midst of a heart-wrenching tragedy. Nine months ago, she arrived in the USA to pursue her dream to become an academician in this country. While working on her master’s degree, she has been working a full-time job to financially support her academic endeavors. However, fate dealt her an unimaginable blow on February 4, 2023, when a devastating earthquake struck her beloved homeland of Turkey. In a matter of minutes, her family lost everything – their home, their jobs, and their sense of security. She then had to start providing support to her family.

Balancing a full-time job, working on her thesis, and supporting the family has become an overwhelming financial burden. Earning minimum wage, no matter how much and how hard she works, it is impossible to support her family, her education, and her living expenses. As if not enough, she was a victim of a hit-and-run accident which resulted in substantial financial loss.

In summary, she is in desperate need.

Buket is such a hard-working bright mind that we don't want her potential to be wasted due to financial limitations.
