Helping Aiden Fight Hodgkin's Lymphoma
Donation protected
Hi, everyone! My name is Maddie, and I am looking to help support my little brother, Aiden, in his fight against Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Here is more about Aiden's Story:
In early September 2022, Aiden was only WEEKS away from marrying his highschool sweetheart, Emily. They were excited to start the next chapter of their life together, fulfill their dream of moving- trading the corn fields of Nebraska for the mountain/ocean views of Oregon, and spending their free time exploring the world...
All of those plans came to a screeching halt when Aiden was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma on September 13, 2022. The next ten days were filled with tests, scans, biopsies, procedures... All of the things that precede chemotherapy. On September 22, exactly one month before Aiden and Emily's wedding, Aiden had his first chemo session. You'll be glad to know that, despite everything they had been going through, Aiden and Emily still decided to get married surrounded by an intimate group of family and friends on October 22, 2022. Watching them love each other through this journey has been inspiring.
Long story short, Aiden continued battling his cancer with intense chemotherapy from September 2022 to April 2023. Aiden's most recent PET scan in April showed improvement in his cancer, but not complete remission. While the next steps in Aiden's HL journey are currently up in the air, the plan is to consult with a Lymphoma specialist in Omaha and come up with a plan to kick cancer's butt once and for all.
Left severely immunocompromised (and straight up feeling terrible) from chemo, Aiden has been, and is still currently unable to work at this point in time. Medical bills have began piling up and making ends meet has become tougher for him and his wife, Emily. I created this GoFundMe to help attempt to alleviate some of Aiden and Emily's financial strain and show them they have a troop of people ready to rally around and support them!
Please consider donating to help uplift Aiden and Emily during this challenging time. Your donating to this campaign will make a significant difference in their life. 100% of donations raised will go directly to them to be used for medical bills, rent, groceries, gas, and other basic needs to help keep them afloat. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
