Helping Amber Fight!

Hello! Jen and Chris Jolley here. Our dear friend, Amber Jeffries recently received a devastating diagnosis - colon cancer that has metastasized to other parts of her body. Needless to say, this has been a terrifying and expensive journey thus far and there are many miles to go. She and her wife, JJ, have uprooted their lives from Florida to New Jersey to allow Amber to get the best treatment and care possible. It is unknown whether this will be a temporary stay or a longer term stay. Amber has not been able to work and they have had to take on significant additional financial responsibilities, staying in nearby Extended Stays, to be close to her doctors as she starts chemo. There could be additional medical expenses in the future. In addition, they have a 10 year old daughter and regardless of length of stay, there will be travel expenses associated with going back and forth between Florida and NJ. Amber has four children as well and I'm hopeful this can also help with any minor travel expenses that may occur if the kids want to visit her. Don't forget their two loveable pups, Beau and Benny! Monthly bills continue to pile up and they have utilized much of their savings already. While Amber will qualify for Disability (and is receiving some short term disability funding now), there will be a gap of about three months in the resources Amber can receive. I want to take some of the worry and fear off of Amber and JJ's plates. I want them to have some resources to help with basic needs, ensure that Amber is comfortable, ensure that bills can be paid.

Amber brings such light to the world, she is kind and loves her friends. She gives the biggest hugs. She has been one of my closest and dearest friends for nearly 16 years and has become a part of our family. I have watched her overcome many battles in her life. She deserves to have us have her back. Please give what you can. If you are unable to donate financial resources, please keep Amber, JJ and their family in your thoughts and prayers.
