Helping Amelia get through cancer treatment.
Donation protected
Hey there.
My name is Amelia and I have stage two Hodgkins lymphoma. I found a lump on the side of my neck on September 14, 2021, literally days after I quit a stable secure job in the childcare field to follow my dreams in the wine industry. After a really rough two weeks, on October 1st, I got my diagnosis. Being 25 and finding out you have cancer is a really hard pill to swallow. Since being diagnosed the bills have been coming in and we are hardly keeping up if at all.
Between paying medical bills, rent and utilities. Cancer is extremely expensive, and I just don’t have any more savings to cover it all. I feel bad for even asking for this amount, I just can’t do it anymore. Everyone says that your 20s are the best years your life but honestly it’s been really hard. I want to thank each and everyone of you who have already sent donations of books, cards, yarn and wigs. I have kept everything everyone has sent and have cherished it all. I’ve made 11 hats and donated them all to the Cancer Partnership, have read every book and kept every card. Plus I adore the wigs that people have sent. Sadly it’s the finances that are dragging me down. Thank you in advance for anything and everything! If I could do it on my own I would.
I have 3 to 4 more months of cancer treatment ahead of me along with four months behind me worth of bills. Any money that is donated that I do not need I will be donating to the Cancer Partnership. Thank you again! Xoxo Amelia L.
