Helping an unemployed Friend during Covid-19

I would like to raise money for a dear friend who got laid off work due to Covid 19, unable to get her stimulus check and unemployment so far. Few friends have helped taking care of her daily needs and rent where if unpaid can create hostile situation with roommates. I'd like to ask your help as well, any amount helps and adds up. I believe many are in this situation where government help is too slow to reach, until then I hope we as community and caring Americans can help them.

My friend has a compelling story. Moved to Hawaii all alone, after divorce and depression to start fresh and rebuild her life, got a new job, and after 3 months Covid-19 knocks her down. I admire her perseverance. I am keeping her identity safe not to hurt her sense of pride (she does not know that I am doing this) yet am very transparent about mine. To build trust I will answer any question about myself (above is my photo).

Also would like to share something positive about giving. Being compelled to help my friend, I donated an amount which I personally could use it for my family, yet knew that she needed it more than me. A week later, another friend of mine gives me that exact same amount not knowing that I had done the same for someone else (thank you Bill). Amazing, God is in the works! God watches over us, meets our needs through others, let's serve each other. Thank You All.
