Help Andrea - Cancer Treatment

Dear everyone,

My name is Stine. I’m reaching out to you on behalf of our beloved friend, Andrea, who has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer - a cancer with a good prognosis with the right treatment.

I met Andrea in Ubud, Bali, last year during a Yoga Education in a time where we needed to meet each other the most. During my months in Bali, Andrea became my second mom and one of my closest friends. I’m so honored and grateful to have met a woman like her. As the people who met Andrea already know, it’s rare to find such a loving, kind, giving and strong soul like hers. She’s the essence of being a fighter.

Andrea has been guiding me through one of the toughest phases of my life and now it’s my time to give back. I’ve created this Fundraiser to help Andrea financially cover the medical expenses of the cancer treatment so that she can start to heal, recover and live the life she deserves.

She has meticulously explored different treatment options both locally and internationally. The best solution in her case is transarterial chemoperfusion at a specialised oncological surgery clinic in Germany. She needs to undergo two treatments cycles, with one treatment costing her €20.000. Insurance will not cover this specialised treatment, yet the results are very promising and offers Andrea the only chance of complete remission without the long-term damaging side effects of radiation.

Throughout Andreas whole life, her big heart and adventurous spirit has led her to help both humans and animals in need all over the world by being a volunteer or by being a financial donor. But now Andrea is the one in need. Even though she’s meeting this challenge with resilience and optimism, the financial pressure that comes with treating such an illness is overwhelming. She needs our help.
