Helping Australian Wildlife Through Craft
As many of you probably know, Australia isn't doing well right now. Fires are burning across the beautiful country and half a BILLION animals have died already.
We are gathering as many boxes of craft items as possible to send the Australia. I'll be making nests and joey pouches until my fingers are numb and there are SO many other fiber artists who are chipping in already!
But shipping is going to cost at least $100 per box to get it there quickly. This is where you can help. If you can make items that are needed, send us those items! Visit Relief Crafters of America (RCoA) on Facebook to find your hub.
If you can't make items but want to help, any small donation toward shipping will help greatly. The funds from this GoFundMe account will be used solely by the RCoA regional hubs for shipping to Australia. Anything above shipping cost will be donated back to Australian charities that need our help.
Let's get this done, and quick, so that we can help out those down under.
Process for use of funds:
The funds in this GoFundMe account will solely be used for the international shipping cost of your donated items. These funds will be withdrawn by RCoA team member, Corie Hintergardt, into a newly created personal bank account solely for this purpose. Corie will create shipping labels from this account directly (linked to Paypal expressly made for the purpose of creating labels with this account) and send the shipping labels for Australian mail directly to the regional hubs as they pack boxes: Danielle Letourneau, Kimberly Honchell, Kim Adkins, Mary Davis, Denise Dingsdale, Kiza Moore, and Jennifer Mineault. All receipts will be available for viewing upon request. All excess funds will be donated to an Australian charity of RCoA choosing. RCoA is an independent group of volunteers just looking to help out those in need. We are not affiliated with any specific organization, nor are we a 501c3 or NPO.
