60k Ultra Run Dec 20th! Bens Road to recovery!
Donation protected
Ben is a 3 times Commonwealth Games decathlete and is a Welsh record holder within the sport. Since retiring from athletics in 2019, Ben has gone on to compete in functional fitness competitions and holds a World Record in Hyrox Men's and Mixed Relay, as well as winning a Silver Medal at Hyrox World Championships Vegas in the Men's Doubles. Ben is a proud Coach at MANOR London
On the 19th of August, Ben was hit by a car whilst cycling home in London. He sustained catastrophic brain injuries, and the first responders from London’s Air Ambulance didn’t expect Ben to make it to the hospital alive. He was put straight into a medically induced coma to give him a fighting chance.
Ben has spent every single day since then beating the odds.
Recovery from such traumatic brain injuries is incredibly uncertain in terms of timelines and outcomes. We already know that Ben will need ‘Level 1’ neurological rehabilitation for highly complex, life-altering brain injuries. He will need to relearn how to talk, walk and do simple tasks for himself. The incredible work by the earth angels of the NHS can only take Ben so far.
This is what your donations will be contributing to; Ben’s future outcomes.
Myself Tom Wallace & Alex Banks will be running a 60k Ultra run along the river from Windsor to Henley & Back to Marlow. This will be on Tuesday 20th December 2022 all in support of the miracle man himself Ben Gregz!
