Helping Ben Parkinson MBE climb Pen Y Fan

I'm Poppy, I am a Cadet with the Tring ACF and on the 25th of May, along with the Curtis Palmer Program and some of my Dads Police colleagues, I will be supporting Ben Parkinson MBE in his attempt to climb Pen Y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales.
Ben is an inspirational individual and a former paratrooper, veteran campaigner and author. He is the most severely wounded soldier to survive the War in Afghanistan. Both his legs were amputated, he broke his back and suffered lasting brain damage when the Land Rover he was travelling in struck a landmine in 2006. He defied his doctors' expectations by learning to walk and talk again.
The Curtis Palmer Program support serving and retired Police Officers, Police Staff and Military Veterans.
I am supporting this event to help Ben and others like him on their journeys of recovery.
