Helping Brad Beat This Battle

Hi my name is Dj Jeremy Collins,

I am putting together this GoFund me for a dear friend of mine in the CrossFit community. Below is written from his wonderful wife, Nikki, and what he's going through and what to expect. ALL proceeds go directly to Brad and Nikki.

Brad & Nikki Robison bought CrossFit Zoo on September 20, 2021. They set out to build a beautiful community, from their box members to community members reaching far and wide, and they created a family.

If you’ve ever witnessed the greatness of one of the Zoo’s competitions, Rex Rumble or Reindeer Rumble, then you know how amazing that family is. Brad & Nikki have made the competition floor available to athletes of all ages, abilities & adaptive needs. Every event is centered around FAMILY… and some serious feats of strength! (Insert Brad’s devilish laugh during any of his WOD announcements)

If you’ve been to a competition in the state of Florida in the past few years you likely saw Brad out on the floor giving it his all & Nikki on the sideline screaming “LETS GO BABE!”. The support they have for one another extends to athletes everywhere & their love for fitness is infectious. To know them is to love them.

On December 16th, 2023 Brad was admitted into the hospital with what they originally thought to be elevated liver enzymes & a need to remove his gallbladder. Since then he has fought through a blockage in his bile duct, aspirating pneumonia, pulmonary edema, pulmonary embolism, has had many liters of fluid pulled from his pleural cavity, and has been transferred to the ICU currently fighting the biggest fight:

Stage 4 Esophageal Adenocarcinoma with Mets.

Brad is the main provider for his family - his wife Nikki & their son Gage - working as a PTA and as the main coach for CrossFit Zoo. Nikki has spent every waking moment at Brad’s side while simultaneously trying to keep the Zoo alive & keep their family afloat - filing paperwork, scheduling coaches, finding the funds for it all…

It’s our turn to show up for them & relieve as much of that burden as we can!

Brad will be facing a year and a half of Chemo ahead. He began his first treatment yesterday which will continue until the 1st of January. He is currently in the ICU due to his difficult breathing & his level of pain. He is continuing to collect fluid in his pleural cavities & his bronchial lining has become hardened. There are many challenges ahead for Brad & his family. Now is the time for us to rally around them & show them they are not in this alone!

The funds will be used for hospital bills, exams, biopsies, overhead for their box (gym) just to name a few. This is VERY important to me because I've been dj-ing and producing in the Crossfit community for almost 10 years, and know how we all pull together as ONE. Help us reach our goal of $100,000.
