Help Bring Berny Mathias Home for his funeral.

Hey everyone, my name is Barbara. My father, Berny, passed away on September 14, 2024. He was born on August 14, 1955, so he passed away exactly one month after his 69th birthday. My father was Haitian and had struggled with health issues such as asthma, arthritis, and high blood pressure for years. Despite his efforts to fight through these challenges, he was in constant pain, which was very distressing for me.

Recently, my father had a fever and worsening asthma, which made it difficult for him to breathe. He was admitted to a hospital in Haiti but wasn't eating well. A few days later, my mom informed my sister that he had started eating a bit, which offered some relief. However, I was devastated to receive the heartbreaking news that my father passed away just a few days later.

He was a generous, kind, and giving person with a great sense of humor. My father was incredibly talented; he was a painter and had worked in the medical field. He had been in Haiti since January 2024 seeking natural treatments for his illness. Unfortunately, the lack of proper medical equipment and care in Haiti was insufficient to help him in time. The hot weather and his asthma exacerbated his condition, dad houses didn’t have AC and things like we do here in the U.S, some houses over there may had it but he didn’t have it install in his, electricity is another issue, it has a scheduled time it’s come on and out throughout the day.

It pains me deeply that he passed away in Haiti rather than here in the U.S. where all his children are. I am now trying to bring my father's body back to the U.S. so that he can be closer to us. This process is very expensive, and I am reaching out to ask for your help. Any assistance you can provide to help with shipping costs would be greatly appreciated.
