Helping Christine Zotti Fight Her Stroke

On August 1st while at the shore, Chris’s wife Christine suffered a massive ruptured aneurism that lead to a stroke. The surgeon has seen 3000+ cases of ruptured aneurysms, and this is the most complicated one he’s had to face. While the doctors feel confident they have stopped the bleeding and closed the aneurism, the real fight has just begun. I can’t explain how vulnerable it feels when ALL you have to hold on to is hope

The doctor next laid out what seemed like dozens of possible complications from continuing to drain the blood to potential organ failure. Watching my brothers face each and every time the phone rings is almost unbearable. All my family can do for them is be here and try to help where we can, but as each moment passes their medical bills keep piling up.

Of course all Chris should be focused on are his wife and 15 year old son, Jack-but we know our healthcare system just doesn’t allow that-expenses must be paid, and watching that weight build on him is crushing to us.

My brother is the proudest person I know. He will be the first one to volunteer to coach little league, help shovel a neighbor’s driveway, or drive a friend to the doctor, yet he would definitely feel awkward asking anyone for help (certainly money)-and especially this level of help. It’s why my twin and I have taken this step to ask for him, Christine, and Jack.

My family has been blessed to have so many amazing friends and family members in our lives, and we’re now asking for your help. We cannot manage these costs alone-but together, we hope our community of loved ones will help us carry this cross.
